Missing Oxnard man located safe

The Oxnard Police Department says Byron Starks has been located safe and was reunited with family.


OXNARD, Calif. - The Oxnard Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing man who is wheelchair bound.

Byron Starks, 59, was last seen in the area of 241 Hill Street at around 9:30 a.m. Saturday. His home is in the 1000 block of Denver Place.

Starks is African American with black hair and brown eyes. He is 6-foot-1 and weighs about 240 pounds. He was last seen wearing wearing a black dress shirt and green and black checkered pajama bottoms.

Police say he's confined to a wheelchair and has difficulty getting around.

Anyone who may have seen Byron Starks is asked to contact the Oxnard Police Department at 805-385-7740 or dial 911.
