Lompoc designates an official logo for its 135th year celebrations

LOMPOC, Calif. – The City of Lompoc is celebrating its 135th birthday and is using image ideas submitted by local high school students to commemorate it.

Lompoc, founded in 1888, combined elements of the two winning ideas from Makaylah June and Alyssa Lazos into the image featured above and on their website here.

The theme for Lompoc's 135th year is "Honoring Our Legacy, Launching into our Future".

The winning image will be featured as part of the celebration events, but this article wanted to feature the second and third place finishers as well.
