The Santa Maria Public Library is adding a new service: Grab-and-Go Book Bag service

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The City of Santa Maria Public Library is now offering a new Grab-and-Go Book Bag service.

The Grab-and-Go Book Bags contain five books, do not require a library card, and have no due date.

The library will have a limited number of mystery/thriller/suspense book grab bags available from Monday, October 5 through Saturday, October 10 during regular sidewalk pick-up window service hours, which are 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Santa Maria Public Library and branches are open only for sidewalk pick-up service until further notice.

The library offers digital resources including downloadable eBooks, movies, magazines, and audiobooks. Online databases and programs, email reference service, veterans' resources, updates about the library's operations and more are available online at www.cityofsantamaria.org/library.

People may apply for a free library card online.
