18 local high school students awarded $27,000 by Santa Maria Rotary Club
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Santa Maria Breakfast Rotary Club has selected its scholarship recipients who will receive awards ranging from $500 to $2000.
Students from all local high schools applied for the scholarships, including St. Joseph High School, Pioneer Valley High School, Santa Maria High School, Valley Christian Academy, Righetti High School and Orcutt Academy High School.
Committee member Mike Gibson said, "With 65 applications to consider, the need is as great as ever and it was difficult making the selections. While we were happy to give out 18 scholarships, we only wish we had more dollars to award."

Hancock College Bound Student Scholarships- $500 each renewable
