Atascadero firefighters and CHP Air Operations perform joint technical rescue training

ATASCADERO, Calif. - The Atascadero Police and Fire departments announced a helicopter training that took place for the North County Technical Rescue Team near Pine Mountain and the Salinas River.

The training began Thursday morning. Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services and CHP - Coastal Division Air Operations worked together for the joint technical training.

Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services said on Facebook, "These joint agency drills are crucial for low frequency, high risk events."

Atascadero police posted about the training on Facebook to let the public know that there was no real emergency in that area.
