Highway 166 reopens, Highway 33 still closed due to weather conditions

UPDATE: As of about 4:45 p.m., CHP says Highway 166 is now open.

CHP is escorting traffic in both directions from Santa Maria to Maricopa.

Highway 33 remains closed south of Highway 166 until Ojai.

CUYAMA, Calif. -- Emergency officials are closing Highway 166 on Thursday due to weather conditions.

California Highway Patrol and Cal Trans are closing Highway 166 at Highway 33 at Maricopa.

Highway 33 is closed south of Highway 166.

Cal Trans closed eastbound Highway 166 at Highway 101.

According to the CHP incident page, there were multiple vehicle accidents in that area.
