Outage repaired at Broadcast Peak transmitter, over-the-air signals restored

An outage at our transmitter atop Broadcast Peak in Santa Barbara County temporarily disrupted the over-the-air signal for ABC and CBS programming, including NewsChannel 3-12 newscasts, Thursday night.

The outage was related to extreme heat at the transmission site. Fortunately, it was repaired just after 9 p.m.

This outage affected anyone who watches the stations by an over-the-air signal as well as some Spectrum cable customers in Ventura County.

Our engineering team worked quickly to get the transmitter back online.
