Santa Barbara County reports additional death related to COVID-19, 116 total deaths

There’s been 40 COVID-19 cases and one death reported at the Santa Maria Post Acute facility.

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. -- Santa Barbara County Public Health reports an additional death related to COVID-19 on Friday afternoon.

Public Health says the patient was a Santa Maria resident.

They were 70 years old with underlying medical conditions.

Public Health says the patient contracted the virus from an outbreak at a congregate facility.

As of Friday, there are 9,408 COVID-19 cases with a total of 116 deaths.
