Motorcyclist slams into truck on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara causing traffic delays

SANTA BARBARA , Calif - Santa Barbara CHP responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a truck on Highway 101 Monday morning.

Officers responded to the accident at around 7:42 am on the 101 north of State Route 154.

The southbound slow lane was closed for some time after the accident as officers investigated. The lane reopened a few minutes just after 8 am.

Witnesses say the motorcyclist was making his way through traffic and collided with the truck as he moved from the middle lane to the slow lane.

He was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with minor injuries.
