South County Regional Center open as warming center due to rain

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. – The South County Regional Center at 800 West Branch St. in Arroyo Grande is open the nights of Jan 1 and 2 as a warming shelter due to forecasted rain.
Overnight guests will be provided a meal and a dry place to sleep. Cots and bedding will be provided if they are available.
Sobriety is not required for entry, but no drugs or alcohol are allowed on site. The center does not accept pets and guests can not re-enter if they choose to leave.
Anyone interested in staying the night is asked to arrive no earlier than 5:30 p.m. and no later than 8 p.m.
Transportation to the warming center will not be available Sunday, Jan 1 but will be available from the following places on Monday Jan. 2:
- Oceano duck pond at 5:15PM
- Ramona Park at 5:25 PM
- Fin’s Restaurant at 5:35 PM
- St. Anthony’s in Pismo at 5:45 PM
- Pismo Outlet bus stop at 5:55 PM
- Arrive at South County Regional Center 6:15 PM
The next morning, the facility will close at 7 a.m. with transportation from the center to the following locations on Jan. 3:
- Depart South County Regional Center at 7:00 AM
- Pismo Outlet bus stopÂ
- St. Anthony’s in Pismo
- Fin’s RestaurantÂ
- Ramona ParkÂ
- Oceano Duck PondÂ
