San Luis Obispo woman hit, killed by vehicle

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – A San Luis Obispo woman was hit and killed by a vehicle near downtown Saturday night.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Broad and Woodbridge streets.

According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, a 48-year-old woman was running across Broad Street when she was hit by a car traveling north on the road.

The pedestrian, identified as Lesley Adams, died from her injuries.

The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been factors in the crash, police said.
