Low-flying helicopters to operate during PG&E Emergency Preparedness Drills next week in San Luis Obispo

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. -- PG&E warns that they will be operating low-flying helicopters in the San Luis Obispo and the northern Santa Barbara County area next week .
PG&E will be performing their emergency preparedness drill next week which will simulate a Public Safety Power Shutoff.
The exercise will allow PG&E to be prepared in the case of shutting off power in certain areas during a wildfire.
PG&E says electricity will not be intentionally turned off during the drill.
Helicopters are scheduled to fly on May 24, May 25 and May 28.
Here are the following locations for those dates:
- May 24: west of Templeton and Paso Robles
- May 25: east of Nipomo including the Huasna area
- May 28: at both Templeton, Paso Robles and Nipomo areas
They advise residents, business owners and local agencies to be aware of their operations those days.
