SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. -- San Luis Obispo County Public Health is offering walk-in appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine in Paso Robles and Arroyo Grande this week.

The COVID-19 vaccination appointments are available every day this week in Arroyo Grande, Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo.

“Now is the time to get the vaccine it’s never been easier,” said Dr. Penny Borenstein, County Health Officer. “I encourage everyone who hasn’t yet gotten the vaccine to take this opportunity to get the vaccine easily and at no cost, while we are able to provide these large-scale community clinics across SLO County.”

Public Health says the vaccines are free.

“This safe, effective vaccine is one of the best tools we have to protect our families and put the pandemic behind us,” said Dr. Borenstein. “You do not need health insurance or proof of citizenship to receive the vaccine, just any form of identification that indicates your age.”

Public Health says as more residents get the vaccine, the need for large-scale clinics decreases.

The County will be closing down large and central vaccine clinics in the coming weeks.

The clinics are open this week, Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The County says more than 221,770 doses of vaccine have been administered in SLO County by County clinics, pharmacies and community vaccine providers.
