CHP identifies two people killed in separate crashes near Paso Robles

PASO ROBLES, Calif. - California Highway Patrol released the names Monday of two people who died in crashes on Highway 101 in Paso Robles.
On Monday Oct. 26, John Splivalo, 67, from Pleasanton died in a crash. He was driving a 2018 GMC Terrain when his vehicle was rear ended, according to CHP.
On Thursday Oct. 29, Peter Mays, 82, from San Miguel died while he was the passenger in a Jeep that was struck by a tire that came off a separate vehicle and collided with his vehicle.
Both of the crashes are still under investigation.
