SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Central Coast Congressman Salud Carbajal (D) stood with "dreamers" outside of the supreme court as justices considered the fate of the DACA case.

"Dreamers" are children brought to the U.S.A. by their illegally immigrating parents.

Because they arrived at such young ages, President Obama granted them legal status, but president Trump made moves to terminate this plan a little over two years ago.

Carbajal said, "I'm imploring the American people to speak out so that their voices are heard loud and clear. The American values we share is to allow DACA protections to stand."

Carbajal is an immigrant himself who came to America at only five-years-old.

Carbajal said he is now living the American dream.
