Old Wood River power plant stacks demolished

East Alton, Illinois (KMOV) — The former Wood River power plant in East Alton was demolished Monday morning. Over the weekend, environmentalists were worried about hazardous dust spreading.

News 4’s Julia Avery spoke with the East Alton police chief about some last minute changes to the demolition plans. Watch the above video for the full report.
