Santa Maria holds online forum for Mayor, City Council candidates

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting an online forum for Mayor and City Council candidates Thursday evening.

This virtual event will be held on Zoom and streamed live on our website here at 5:30 p.m. The event is free to attend, those interested can register online here: 2020 Candidate Forum.

The meeting allows residents to hear from the candidates for Mayor and City Council in the City of Santa Maria.

Attendees will rotate through breakout rooms. Questions from the online audience will be taken throughout the session.

This year's candidates for Santa Maria Mayor are Alice Patino, Will Smith and Alberto Ugalde.

This election's City Council District 1 candidates are Brian Billone, Christopher Diaz, Carlos Escobedo, Osvaldo Sotelo.

District 2 candidate Mike Cordero is running unopposed.
