Fatal Buellton head-on collision that killed two women also killed one dog, other dog still missing

BUELLTON, Calif. – The head-on collision that killed two 23-year-old women and injured one 22-year-old man on Sunday also killed one of the two dogs in the women's car, but the other dog was not found at the scene and is now missing.

The Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society & DAWG (Dog Adoption & Welfare Group) shared the following in an Instagram post on Monday afternoon:

Searching for this dog: lost during the tragic accident on Santa Rosa rd Sunday 22 October. His name is Bodhi, he is an unaltered male and without a microchip, about 50 lbs and very friendly. The other dog on the scene was tragically deceased, but we have not been able to locate Bodhi. The police have assured us his remains are not with the vehicle. He may have been ejected from the crash near 9000 Santa Rosa rd. Please help us find Bodhi. Call Sarah at (805)710-2217 if you have any information.
