Fire forces evacuation warning at Hollister Ranch in Santa Barbara County

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. — A vegetation fire sparked at Hollister Ranch late Saturday night near Gaviota State Park, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

SBCFD crews responded to the fire at Hollister Ranch Road around 10:15 p.m. First responders are calling the blaze the "Ridge Fire."

As of Sunday afternoon, the fire has reached 30-40 acres and an evacuation warning in the area of Alegria Canyon and Hollister Ranch, detailed the Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management.

Fog is impacting the visibility of the flames as crews continue working for access toward the fire, according to the SBCFD.
