Crews knock down two-story house fire near Los Olivos

LOS OLIVOS, Calif. - Santa Barbara County firefighters knocked down a two-story house fire in the Los Olivos area Friday night.

It started around 9:50 p.m. Crews were dispatched to the 3500 block of West Oak Trail Road in the Santa Ynez Valley.

The first arriving engine company reported finding a large, two-story structure with fire coming from the roof and front side.

After a search, it was determined no one was inside the home.

Firefighters said they began an aggressive attack on the fire. The owners of the home arrived shortly after.

The fire was declared knocked down by 10:30 p.m. and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters said they would remain on scene for a while to help salvage the residents' belongings from inside the home and assist them with anything they need.

Investigators have responded to determine the cause of the fire.
