Crews battle brush fire near TV Hill in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara City firefighters battled a brush fire that broke out off Loma Alta Drive Saturday morning.

The fire was first reported around 9:47 a.m., just a few minutes before a structure fire broke out on the Riviera.

Crews responded with multiple engine companies and reported finding a 10-by-10-foot patch of brush burning on the hillside about 100 feet above Loma Alta Drive near the 800 block of Marilla Avenue.

The cause remains under investigation.

It is unclear if any suspects or victims were seen in the area during the incident.
