Cal Fire schedules live fire training in Paso Robles

PASO ROBLES, Calif. - Cal Fire and the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department will be conducting a progression of live-fire training scenarios in Paso Robles all through the week of May 10.

The live training scenarios will take place in an empty privately-owned residence located west of the City of Paso Robles.

The training will be collaboration with the San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District and the private landowner.

Using live fire in a controlled environment, firefighters will prepare techniques and procedures for when there is an actual residential structural fire, so they can provide the safety and health of the civilians while trying to control the fire.

Accommodating the safety and health of the community and the firefighters is important while conducting training like this, Cal Fire said.
