Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo partners with school district to supervise kids during virtual learning
CAMARILLO, Calif. - The Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo announced they have partnered with Pleasant Valley School District (PVSD) in order to help support students while they embark on virtual classes this fall.
PSVD said they anticipated needing to provide supervision for some kids during the school year while they did online classes. The district decided to solicit the help of the Boys & Girls Club due to their long history of working with kids.
Thanks to this partnership, the school district is now able to provide Child Supervision Services at all 11 of their schools. This program is meant to provide relief for working parents who are not able to stay and watch their kids while they learn from home.
PVSD teachers will provide the students with lessons online while Boys & Girls Club staff monitor the students and encourage them to work hard and be engaged.
Staff will also be responsible for keeping kids safe during playtime between classes and homework.
In case any issue arises, the school's principal and health technician will be at each campus.
The Boys & Girls Club is providing a similar supervision service for children from University Preparation Charter School. Those students are able to do their virtual learning at the club's facilities on Temple Avenue.
For more information about these supervision services, you are encouraged to contact the principal of your child's school.
