Four more Santa Barbara County schools granted waivers for in-person instruction

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. - Four schools in Santa Barbara County have been granted waivers by the state to open for some in-person instruction.

The waivers were announced during Santa Barbara County's weekly coronavirus news briefing.

The following schools have been granted a waiver to reopen schools for some in-person instruction.

  • Santa Barbara Santa Ynez Valley Christian Academy
  • Santa Barbara Santa Ynez Valley Family School
  • Santa Barbara Pacific Christian Elementary School
  • Santa Barbara Coastline Christian Academy

Even though these schools have been given the green light for in-person classes, it doesn't mean classes will resume like they did the previous school year. Many schools will see rotating class schedules in addition to reduced class sizes and increased physical distancing.

More information on the state's waiver process can be found here.
