Ventura police make burglary arrest at apartment complex

VENTURA. Calif. - Ventura police patrol officers responded to a burglary at the 5500 block of Ralston Street around 7:15 Tuesday morning.
The victim of the apartment saw the suspect outside and confronted the suspect about holding a bicycle. The suspect then dropped the bicycle and fled the area.
The victim then called police.
The police arrested Jon Clift Tuesday nearby an apartment complex. Clift was arrested for commercial burglary and was later released that evening.
Clift has been arrested an additional nine times since 2015 for charges including possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics paraphernalia, under the influence of a controlled substance, petty theft, possession of an illegal weapon, and receiving stolen property.
