Nude man arrested in Oxnard, facing possible charges for attempted rape

OXNARD, Calif. - A man who was found naked in Oxnard was arrested and faces possible charges for attempted rape and resisting arrest.

Oxnard police found the naked man in front of Popeye's Kitchen on Saviers Road at 2:35 p.m. on Tuesday.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the nude man, identified as 53-year-old Christopher Vittoria. Police say he refused to listen to the officer, which led to the officer using a taser to subdue and take him into custody.

A woman told officers Vittoria had tried to sexually assault her.

Vittoria was booked in the Ventura County Jail and awaits charges for intent to commit rape and resisting arrest.
