Grover Beach murder suspect arrested

GROVER BEACH, Calif. - Grover Beach police have arrested a man for the death of a man Monday morning.

Police responded to a strip mall on the 1800 block of Grand Avenue after reports of an injured man around 12:40 a.m. Officers found a "gravely injured" man in the parking lot, he was rushed to a local hospital suffering from blunt force trauma. He died at the hospital.

Two people were detained by police at the scene, only one was arrested in connection to the man's death.

The suspect has been identified as Nicholas Sage Coronado-Watermen, 25, of Grover Beach.

The victim is in his 30s and will not be identified until family is notified. Both men are believed to be homeless.

Grover Beach Homicide Investigators are being assisted by the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Office and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.
