Santa Barbara Unified schools to reopen Wednesday following storm-related closures
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Schools within the Santa Barbara Unified School District were set to reopen Wednesday after classes ended early on Tuesday during an intense storm.
The district said schools throughout the district would reopen.
"The shelter-in-place has been lifted, yet, we know that some may still experience delays arriving at school or work. We understand that many of our community members are still being impacted by the remnants of this storm; please reach out if you need help," the district said in a statement.
The district said buses could be late, delayed or unavailable Wednesday and the community was asked to drive children to school if possible.
Anyone displaced by the storm was asked to send a note to askthesuperintendent@sbunified.org to be connected with resources.
