People pile into Pismo Beach to prepare for heat wave

PISMO BEACH, Calif. - It's beginning to heat up on the Central Coast, and people are trying to find answers to cool down from the coming waves of heat in early June.

According to the National Weather Service, the expected high is 104 degrees on Wednesday in Pismo Beach.

Being by the Pismo Beach waves is one way to handle it.

Many tourists are coming in from the San Joaquin Valley to try and find shade, a cool breeze and a spot to splash around.

The wave of tourists means a lift for businesses across Pismo Beach, especially rental shops that hand out surf boards, sand toys and anything else needed for the visitors staying on the coast. Many of whom stay for days and sometimes weeks.
