Police arrest five people for possessing guns, drugs at San Luis Obispo hotel

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. - The San Luis Obispo Police Department arrested five people at a local hotel Wednesday night.

According to authorities, a call about a person known by law enforcement was received that morning. Investigators found a car which belonging to that person in the parking lot of the hotel and conducted surveillance. Two people returned to the car and were taken into custody and had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

Three other people were staying at the same hotel and were also taken into custody. One suspect tried to run away from the officers but was caught and arrested.

The group had guns, drugs and money indicating he was involved in
drug sales, police say.
