National Voter Registration Day: Are you registered?

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day. It's a non-partisan push to get the one-in-four eligible Americans who remain unregistered to get involved.

Since National Voter Registration Day started 9-years-ago, some 3 million Americans have registered to vote. And with just 42 days until the 2020 election time is running out to get out the vote. Each state has different rules and deadline for voter registration. In California, residents can register online, by mail or in-person.

The deadline to register online or by mail is Monday October 19. In-person registration is available up until election day, Tuesday November 3.

REGISTER TO VOTE IN CALIFORNIA

To Register Online you'll need:

  • California Divers License or ID Card Number
  • Last Four of you Social Security Number
  • Your Date of Birth
