Ventura Sheriff’s Deputies recover large amount of illegal cannabis, narcotics prepped for sale

OXNARD, Calif. -- Ventura County Sheriff's investigators seized illegal marijuana and narcotics in Oxnard on Friday.

On Friday afternoon, Ventura County Sheriff's Special Crimes and Gang Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located on the 1500 block of West Hemlock Street in Oxnard.

During the warrant execution, detectives located and seized 80 pounds of marijuana packaged for sales.

Detectives also recovered various amounts of other controlled substances.

The report says that the marijuana seized has an estimated street value of over $400,000.

No arrests were made at the time of the warrant being served.

Detectives say they believe an arrest will be made soon.
