MGN

NIPOMO, Calif. - More than 2,000 Pacific Gas & Electric customers temporarily lost power in Nipomo late Friday morning.

According to the PG&E outage map, the outage was first reported just before 11 a.m. About 750 customers were restored in less than 15 minutes, PG&E said.

The majority of customers were expected to be restored by 12:30 p.m. About a dozen customers are expected to be without power for several hours for repairs.

PG&E said California Highway Patrol reported a backhoe hit a power pole, which brought down a power line.

Crews are actively working to restore power, PG&E said.
