City of Santa Barbara prepares for potential power shutoff
The City of Santa Barbara is preparing for a potential power shut off Sunday night.
The City has upstaffed personnel within police, fire, public works, water and parks and recreation in order to prepare for the potential shutoff.
The time of concern is from noon to past sunset in the Santa Barbara area.
The City is working with Southern California Edison by setting up a kiosk and mobile charging station at the Eastside Library at 11102 East Montecito Street in Santa Barbara.
The public will be able to interact with SoCal Edison staff and get up-to-date information as well as charge their mobile devices.
It will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Times will vary if the power remains shut off.
