Carpinteria man dies in rollover car crash
A man from Carpinteria was killed when his vehicle overturned Thursday night.
It happened around 7:30 p.m.
Ventura CHP said the 75-year-old was driving a GMC truck on the northbound 101 approaching Johnson Drive when he lost control of the truck and went off the road.
CHP said his vehicle overturned over the right shoulder of the offramp into a dirt field. They said the driver died at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
It is not yet known if drugs or alcohol played a role in collision.
