Firefighters put out a brush fire at a homeless camp in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara Firefighters were called to a small brush fire just after 1:30 Saturday afternoon.

The fire created a plume of smoke that could be seen from around Downtown Santa Barbara. It was coming from a homeless camp near the Bath Street exit along Highway 101 North.

The Santa Barbara City Fire Department said they were able to quickly put out the fire. No injuries were reported.

Investigators are looking into what started the fire.
