More participants attended Downtown Friday than ever before, organizers say
Friday marks the last Downtown Friday event of the year.
Organizers said this is the most participation they’ve ever seen with more than 3,000 people coming to enjoy Downtown Friday.
“This is our best year. Every year has grown but I love this year, and we changed the format and people seem to love it because they’re staying longer,” said organizer Ed Carcarey of Downtown Friday.
As for businesses, the weekly community event proved to be highly successful for them.
About 70 vendors participated this year which is more than any other year.
Last year, there were only about 50 to 60 vendors.
