Corey Adam named head coach of Santa Barbara High School basketball

Corey Adam is coming back to Santa Barbara High School to take over the Dons boys basketball program.

Santa Barbara principal Elise Simmons confirmed to KEYT Newschannel 3 that Adam will be the Dons head coach.

Adam spent last year as the varsity head coach at Carpinteria and he led the Warriors to a CIF-SS Division 5A semifinal appearance and they also played in the State Tournament.

He was a longtime assistant coach of the Dons and the head coach at the lower levels at Santa Barbara High School.

Adam takes over for Dave Bregante who resigned after eight seasons in which he became the winningest boys basketball coach in Dons program history.

Santa Barbara High School won the Channel League last year and advanced to the CIF-SS Division 3A semifinals.
