Ventura police investigating armed robbery at convenience store

The Ventura Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that took place at a gas station convenience store late Monday night.

At around 10 p.m., a man entered the Arco AM/PM at 605 S. Mills Rd. and approached an employee behind the counter. The suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the register. The employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the area.

Officers responded to the business and searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

He was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with a bandana over his face wearing a Kings hat, a gray sweater and black pants.

No one was injured in the robbery.
