Gang member sentenced for armed robbery at San Luis Obispo Costco

An admitted gang member was sentenced to 13 years and 8 months in state prison for an armed robbery that occurred in San Luis Obispo in December 2017.

Joshua Myers, 19, of Santa Barbara County was sentenced in San Luis Obispo Superior Court on Wednesday. Myers was found guilty by a jury in November.

On December 11, 2017, Myers robbed two employees of a mobile marijuana dispensary at gun point and stole approximately one pound of marijuana valued at $2500.

The case was investigated by the San Luis Obispo Police Department with assistance by Santa Maria police.

Myers also had a pending robbery case with a gang enhancement in Santa Maria.
