Fiesta performances begin at the Paseo Nuevo Mall

Live performances for Fiesta week have begun at the Paseo Nuevo Mall in downtown Santa Barbara. The free shows are held daily in a special courtyard stage location at the center of the popular downtown shopping area. Those appearing have been working on their routines for months at local dance studios. They will be performing at the mall and in several other stage locations. Some will be part of the showcase sites including Fiesta Pequena at the Santa Barbara Old Mission Wednesday night. Monday hundreds of shoppers, friends and family members came out to see the first shows. A special canopy is up for shade and chairs are set out for a comfortable way to enjoy the dances.
