Two men injured after van smashes into traffic light pole

Two people were rushed to the hospital after their van smashed into a traffic signal pole early Monday morning.

According to the Ventura City Fire Department, it happened at 2:25 a.m. Monday at Victoria Avenue and Olivas Park Drive. Two male occupants were injured in the crash. One man had to be extricated from the car. Both victims were then rushed to a local trauma center.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
