New Condor chick featured on live stream camera

You can now watch a wild California Condor chick grow up in the mountains of Ventura County.

The recently installed nest camera is located in Hutton’s Bowl, near the Hopper Mountain National Wildlife Refuge.

The camera gives the public an inside look at the daily life of these iconic birds including a newly hatched chick and its parents.

This is one of twelve condor nests in the mountains of Ventura, Santa Barbara and Kern counties.

Wildlife officials say this is a record-breaking number of recorded nests in southern California.

The camera will be live streaming all year long.
