A 14-year-old was arrested in Ventura late Wednesday for driving a stolen vehicle.

According to the Ventura Police Department, an officer observed a car that matched the description of a stolen vehicle just before midnight Wednesday near the 500 block of Ventura Avenue. That’s when officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and identified the driver as a 14-year-old Ventura resident with a 16-year-old male in the passenger seat.

The 14-year-old driver was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall for possession of a stolen vehicle. The 16-year-old was issued a curfew citation and then released into the custody of his parents.
