California Highway Patrol SUV and Search and Rescue van collide in Santa Barbara County

A California Highway Patrol SUV and a Santa Barbara County search and rescue van collided on Highway 154 on Saturday afternoon.

The road was busy with first responders responding to the Trout fire.

The CHP vehicle ended up in the brush on the side of the road.

The van parked on the shoulder had damage to its right front bumper.

Paramedics put one person in an ambulance. Their condition was not released.

It is not clear what led up to the accident near Cathedral Oaks Road.
