Search and rescue effort called off at Point Mugu Rock

Search and rescue efforts were called off Point Mugu Rock Wednesday night.

According to the Ventura County Fire Department, initial reports were that a person fell off a jetty and into the ocean around 9:20 p.m.

Several agencies were called to the scene.

An uninjured person was found walking on the shoreline around 10:00 p.m. Ventura County Fire officials said no rescue was needed.
