Gone in 30 seconds…again! Garth Brooks second show at Mid-State Fair sells out

It happened again! Garth Brooks second concert at the California Mid-State Fair alongside wife Trisha Yearwood sold out in 30 seconds.

“Unprecedented, unbelievable, it’s ever happened in the history of the fair,” says Tom Keffury, Marketing Director for the California Mid-State Fair

Fair officials confirmed the record-shattering news on Thursday. “The 10:30 p.m. concert sold all 14,875 tickets, just like the original 7:30 p.m. concert,” said California Mid-State Fair officials in a statement.

With millions of fans worldwide, this is a clear indication that fair officials will be dealing with a large crowd.

“Because it is a special situation we are making all the plans we can to treat it with the proper respect it will need,” says Keffury.

Due to the large crowds fair officials expect they are beefing up security.

“We hired an outside consultant, Landmark Services, who will be overseeing traffic, also overseeing safety and crowd control,” he says.

Keffury says fair officials prioritize safety. They work along side other community leaders and partners to make sure the night goes off without a hitch.

Fans will be able to use the parking lot across the entrance to the fairgrounds.

Keffury says there are also other surrounding parking lots people will be able to use.

He adds there will be a free shuttle service bringing people from outside locations to the fair. They plan to add extra shuttles that night.

“We are beyond thrilled at the overwhelming support the local community has shown our Fair. From the thousands of Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood fans who bought tickets, to the Staff, Board, city and county leaders, and especially our community, we’re all working together to make July 27 a most special night,” said Mid-State Fair CEO Michael Bradley.

Brooks in currently on a 3-year world tour with Yearwood.

Tickets for all other shows at the 2017 California Mid-State Fair remain available. For more information visit https://www.midstatefair.com. The Fair runs July 19-30.
