Police turn to public for help locating suspect in armed burglary

Santa Barbara police detectives are releasing photos of a bank robbery suspect in hopes the public may know his whereabouts.

On Wednesday, May 31, 2017 the suspect walked into the Rabobank in the 2200 block of Bath Street and robbed it, armed with a gun, according to police. A half an hour prior to the robbery the suspect was seen in the area casing the bank.

The suspect who police believe is Jaime Munoz, 53, possibly of Santa Maria, then left the scene on a dark bicycle.

At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a disguise which consisted of a hard hat, fake hair piece, and glasses.

The Santa Barbara Police Department is requesting the public’s help to obtain additional information regarding the suspect. If you have any information about the robbery or the suspect around the time of robbery contact Detective Megan Harrison at 805-897-2343.
