Law enforcement arrests 10 suspected gang members in Ventura County

Law enforcement throughout Ventura County conducted a major street gang bust that resulted in the arrest of ten suspected gang members.

On Thursday morning, over 80 law enforcement authorities served search warrants at eight different locations in Oxnard, Ventura and unincorporated areas of Ventura County.

The month-long investigation looked into a criminal street gang that was believed to have committed robberies, assault with deadly weapons, and illegal weapon and drug possession.

Due to the violent nature of the gang, SWAT units in Ventura and Oxnard were used to safely make arrests and search for weapons. SWAT teams located firearms at each location that they searched.

The search warrants yielded ten arrests for various weapons violations and warrants for arrest.

A total of 13 firearms were seized, including 2 assault weapons, a Mac-11 assault pistol and 6 handguns. All of the guns were operable and readily available to members of the gang.

Investigators are now trying to determine the origin of the guns.

The ten suspects arrested are:

Jose Aguilera, 18, of Oxnard Jose Diaz, 46, of Oxnard Rodger Willoughby, 43, of Somis Anthony Salas, 20, of Oxnard Gerald Silva, 21, of El Rio Jeffrey Magdaleno , 23, of El Rio Joshua Magdaleno, 18, of El Rio Florentino Rodriguez, 28, of Ventura

A 16-year-old male from Oxnard and a 16-year-old male juvenile from El Rio were also arrested
