Wildfire burning in Shandon, SLO County now 100% contained

A fire that scorched approximately 150 acres in Shandon, San Luis Obispo County Wednesday is now 100 percent contained according to Cal Fire San Luis Obispo.

The fire broke out just after 11:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Lucy Brown Road just south of Highway 41.

At least one structure was initially threatened but was eventually deemed safe as firefighters continued their aggressive attack on the blaze.

Several aircraft were called to assist with the Lucy Fire as it has been called.

No injuries were reported.
